HS SOFTBALL MEETING: Coach Fineran will be here on Wednesday April 24th @ 5:30 for all girls that are going out for softball this summer.  Coach Fineran will meet in the cafeteria. 

 

 

Drivers Education:  **PAYMENTS DUE.**

MAY COURSE IS FULL. ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY APRIL 22, 2019 The dates for this course have changed a bit this year.  All classes will be held in the month of May. A schedule is available on our website.   Class size is limited to 24. All Driver’s Education registrations and payments must be turned in to the high school/middle school secretary.  Please be aware that this course does take a big time commitment for students to successfully complete. Be sure to check the dates before enrolling to make sure you are able to attend each class.  Only one make-up in-class time will be offered after the regular scheduled classes are complete.  Unexcused absences or missing more than one class may require the student to repeat the class the following year.  All requirements must be met in one year. Students enrolled:  Mercedes Blackman, Allison Clark, Ruth Clark, Damian Gray, Kara Harrison, Vincent Hoefling, Treyton Kolar, Rylee Krayenhagen, Faith Leed, Jordyn Loger, Joshua Masters, Kenzie Mott, Kyra Rudolph, Dawson Schiernbeck, Madison Schreiber, Blake Sharkey, Jack Sohm, Kyle Spotts, Levi Streed, Luke Swanger, Izraell Gritten, Philip Wilkerson, Gabriel Winterrowd & Austin Wych.

 

 

Mrs. Otto is considering sponsoring a summer reading program. The program is through Barnes and Noble, and students would have literary discussion days, some journaling, and in the end, would receive a certificate or gift card, and a trip to Barnes and Noble to purchase their own book.

YEARBOOK STAFF 2019-20:  If you are interested in being part of the 2019-2020 OABCIG Yearbook staff, please contact Ms. Foreman so she can send you the online form and submit it by April 18. You must include TWO brief letters of recommendation from teachers. One of those recommendations should be from an English teacher you have had. Your teachers must tell me why they would recommend you to be on the 2019-2020 yearbook staff. This is offered at the same time as College English. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Foreman. 

**When you sign up for classes, add yearbook.

 

CHEER AUDITION INFORMATION:  Cheer auditions will be held on Saturday, April 27th at the High School.  8:00-10:00 am will be practice with judging to begin at 10:00 am until done.  If you can not make that time you may come on Friday, April 26th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with judging at

8:00. You must attend the PRACTICE to tryout.  Forms are available in the office and must be returned by Wednesday, April 24th.

 

OABCIG BLOOD DRIVE:  The next blood drive will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.  Sign up in the office.

 

 

DOCTOR/DENTIST APPTS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY:  Make sure to get a note from the doctor/dentist when you have an appointment so the school has it for your student file.
 

 

YELLOW SHEETS:  Just a reminder that yellow sheets need to be turned in to the office the DAY BEFORE a planned absence.  That is stated on the top of the form.  Get signatures as soon as possible during class time.  If there is a sub, Mr. Miller or Tasha can sign for that class and you can email the teacher.  If you are unable to locate a teacher and need to get it turned in, please stop in the office to explain to Mr. Miller or Tasha why you can’t get it filled out. 

 

 NOTICE: The Music Boosters will be hosting the Las Vegas Night chance table and Beef/Pork Raffle at two upcoming concerts.  The Middle School concert on April 30th and the High School concert of May 2nd. At each event, patrons will be able to see and buy tickets for the chance table items and the pork/beef raffle that would have been held during Las Vegas Night.  Then on May 2nd, at the High School concert, the winners will be drawn for the chance items as well as the pork & beef raffle. Notifications to winners will be put out right after the drawings so winners can collect their prizes.

 

CURRENT 9TH, 10TH & 11TH GRADERS:  WITCC has received a grant and is able to offer some summer courses free of charge. If you are interested,  please see Mr. Spotts.  Mr. Spotts has also sent an email to you with the courses being offered.
