ATHLETIC BOOSTER

The OA-BCIG Athletic Boosters have recently reassembled after a busy summer. We sponsored the Johnny Orr Golf Tournament and it was a great fundraiser for our program. Also this summer, we rewarded our OA-BCIG BEASTS with a t-shirt. These are the athletes that completed 75% of their summer workouts in the weight room. We have an active schedule ahead and would welcome any one interested in becoming a member!

Already this fall we grilled for the Missouri Valley football team as a show of sportsmanship and hospitality. We will be grilling for Homecoming and senior and also for the visiting JSPC football team.

The Falcon Box is fully stocked so make sure you stop by during every home game. We have lots of new items including the very popular “burnout” shirts.

Upcoming events on our agenda include the Mat Rats Wrestling Tournament in December, OABA in January, the youth basketball tournaments in January and February, and our largest fundraiser, the Herb Irgens’ Classic Wrestling Tournament which is slated for January 20^th and 21^st. This is the largest invitational tournament in the state of Iowa and we will need lots of help to keep it the huge success it has been! When the letters come home in January, please do not throw them away but rather help us out by making or purchasing the items asked for.

Anyone who has a child active in middle school or high school sports already considered a member of the Athletic Boosters. We meet the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm in the Resource Room.
