ALPHA DELTA KAPPA, Chapter XI Scholarship

This scholarship award is open to all OA-BCIG seniors pursuing a 1, 2 or 4-year degree.  All students are encouraged to apply. Applications are available in the High School Guidance Office.  Application Deadline-March 31, 2012.

 

Ida Grove Chapter CB P.E.O Scholarship

Education has always been a primary goal of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.  For this reason, the Ida Grove Chapter CB P.E.O. is offering a scholarship award to a high school senior girl(s) graduating this year, who is an Ida County resident and plans to further her education at a public or private accredited college, university or technical school.  Students may apply who are in the upper 50% of their graduating class.  See High School Guidance Office for an application.  Application Deadline – April 15, 2012

 

Ruth Parks Nursing Scholarship

A scholarship in the name of Ruth Parks is available to graduating seniors planning to enter the field of nursing.  United Bank of Iowa distributes this scholarship. . See High School Guidance Office for an application.  Deadline: May 1, 2012

 

Dr. Doug and Rachel Pick Scholarship

All seniors are eligible to apply for the Dr. Doug and Rachel Pick Scholarship.  You may get an application from the High School Guidance Office.  Application Deadline: April 13, 2012

 

Battle Creek-Ida Grove Education Association Recognition Scholarship

Students of the BCIG district who carry a 2.5 GPA or higher at the end of 7 semesters of high school and have completed the application form are eligible.  Those entering the field of education or a degree towards working with youth and the children of members of BCIG association will have a slight advantage.    See High School Guidance Office for an application.  Application Deadline – April 30, 2012    Return application to Mrs. Schroeder.

 

Iowa CattlemenŐs Foundation 2012 Youth Beef Team Scholarship

Seniors who have been a member of their county Beef Team are eligible to apply for this scholarship.    See High School Guidance Office for guidelines.  Applications are due March 15, 2012.

 

 

 

 

 

CMH Auxiliary Scholarship

The Auxiliary of the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, Iowa, is offering up to nine scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to students who are planning to further their course of study in a health-related field following the 2012 high school graduation.  See High School Guidance Office requirements and an application.  Application Deadline – April 11, 2012.

 

Ida County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship

The Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI) and the Ida Soil and Water Conservation District are once again sponsoring an annual scholarship competition.  All high school seniors in the State of Iowa are eligible to participate.  Scholarship information and applications can be found online at http://www.cdiowa.org/awards.html or in the High School Guidance Office.  Applications are due to the district office no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 2, 2012.

 

Sac County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship

The Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI) and the Sac Soil and Water Conservation District are once again sponsoring an annual scholarship competition.  All high school seniors in the State of Iowa are eligible to participate.  Scholarship information and applications can be found online at http://www.cdiowa.org/awards.html or in the High School Guidance Office.  Applications are due to the district office no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 2, 2012.

 

Ellsworth Community College – Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship

ECC is strongly committed to developing and encouraging the next generation of farming professionals.  Three $5,000 agricultural scholarships will be offered to students interested in a career in farming or other entrepreneurial-agricultural related careers.  To be eligible, students must be enrolled full time in one of the following Ellsworth career education programs: Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Farm Management, Precision Agriculture or Renewable Energy.    See High School Guidance Office for more details and an application.  Application Deadline – March 15, 2012.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Iowa Western Community College Foundation Scholarship.

Students planning to attend IWCC in the fall are encouraged to apply for the Iowa Western Foundation Scholarship.  The application can be downloaded from Iowa WesternŐs scholarship page or send a direct request to scholarships@iwcc.edu.  Application deadline is March 15, 2012.

 

The Iowa Soybean Association Ag Scholarship Program

The Iowa Soybean Association will be accepting applications from high school seniors who are furthering their education at an ag-related college or university.  Scholarships are in the amount of $1,5000.  The application and criteria is available on their website – www.iasoybeans.com or in the High School Guidance Office.  Application Deadline – March 15, 2012

 

15th Annual ŇScholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the YearÓ (SAMMY) 2012 Award Program

AmericaŐs Milk Processors and USA TODAY are pleased to bring you the 15th annual Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the YearÓ Award Program.  The SAMMY 2012 Award Program recognizes outstanding scholar athletes in grade 12 from high school throughout the contiguous United States.  From now until March 19, 2012 teachers, coaches, school counselors, athletic directors, parents and relatives are encouraged to nominate a student athlete for the SAMMY 2012 Award.  Additionally, all high school seniors are allowed and encouraged to nominate themselves.  Judging of the nominees will be based on five criteria: academic performance, athletic excellence, leadership, and community service and milk experience.  SAMMY 2012 applications will only be accepted online at https://www.sammyapplication.com Application Deadline – March 19, 2012

 

Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA)

College-bound Iowa youth active in 4-H and/or FFA livestock projects and current undergraduate students may apply for $97,000 in scholarships through the IFAA.  The scholarships are available to freshman entering an Iowa two- or four-years post-secondary institution this fall or current undergraduate attending Iowa State University.  Applicant must major in animal science or a curriculum in agriculture or human sciences that is related to the animal industry.  Applications and additional information are available by visiting the Sale of Champions section of the Iowa State FairŐs web site –
