4 Tenets:
Leadership:  NHS members are school and community leaders, both of projects and organizations and by example.  Leaders strive to make the group they are involved with better.

Scholarship:  NHS members succeed scholastically and are dedicated to achieving more than just high grades.  Scholarship embodies a love of learning.

Service:  NHS members engage in NHS sponsored projects (either long term or one-time events) as well as continuing their commitment to support other community projects in many ways.

Character:  NHS members maintain honorable characters and conduct themselves responsibly in all engagements.  They abide by school rules, ask others to do the same, and represent the chapter honorably.  They take responsibility for their actions even when it is difficult.  To recognize honor, character, and academic abilities.
