Welcome to BCIG Elementary
BCIG prepares every student to successfully meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. We have a very dedicated staff committed to doing what it takes to help them succeed. We offer a progressive, comprehensive program, and a positive learning environment. Over three hundred students, preschool through fifth grade, attend BCIG Elementary where they experience a safe, secure learning environment. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that all our students learn to their greatest potential and that the needs of our individual students are met. The involvement of the parents in their children's education is also an important element in successful learning experiences. At BCIG, parents are both welcomed and encouraged to visit the classroom and become involved in their child's activities.

Elementary Guidance
BCIG Elementary provides a comprehensive school guidance program. Mrs. Julie Staley has served as counselor for 15 years and oversees the program which includes a curriculum provided through weekly guidance lessons in all classrooms K-5. The guidance program also includes individual and small group guidance, and school-wide programs, such as Healthy (Red Ribbon) Living Week, Positive Behavior Supports, character education, a mentoring program, etc. The guidance curriculum includes academic, career, and personal social domains.  The curriculum is currently undergoing revision to ensure coverage of the Iowa Core 21st Century skills related to guidance.
