FAFSA Night at OABCIG

What is FAFSA?

FAFSA Ready Iowa is a program in which trained volunteers provide free, on-site assistance to students and families in filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is the federally required form for students seeking financial aid for college.  Completing the FAFSA is the first and most important step in qualifying for financial aid.

Data shows that students have an 85% chance of being awarded financial aid by simply completing the FAFSA form.

What will happen on FAFSA Night?

  • You will Receive professional help filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • You Can Ask questions and get advice on paying for college
  • You Can Learn about scholarships on the scholarship website

 

Who: Seniors that will be attending college in the Fall of 2020

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Use the checklists found on theis page or ask for a hard copy in the Guidance Office to help you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • This information is critical to have before coming to the FASFA Night. The more information you bring in off of the checklist will help ensure that your form is completely filled out by the end of the session.
