Fall Play/Musical

The 2016 fall musical will be Guys and Dolls
Director: Ms. Kari Ann Jurgenson   kjurgenson@oabcig.org
Assistant Directors:  Ann Holst, Jacob Pedersen

Dates:  November 11 @ 7:00 and November 12 @ 7:00 at the OABCIG High School Cafeteria in Ida Grove

The OA-BCIG Fine Arts Departments have begun rehearsing this year’s fall musical, Guys and Dolls.  Show times are November 11 and 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the OA-BCIG High School Cafetorium. Instructions for reserving tickets will be included in the November newsletter.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is a oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit (Stephen Stangl) tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps games in town, while the authorities breath down his neck. Meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide (Carrie Miller), laments that they've been engaged for 14 years. Detroit turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson (Ethan Ernst), for the doguh, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown (Alyssa Mason), as the result.

Guys and Dolls takes viewers from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but, eventually, everyone ends up right where they belong.

Guys and Dolls is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MRI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIshows.com
