OA-BCIG HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
The Odebolt-Arthur and Battle Creek-Ida Grove schools have had a long tradition of excellence in all areas of extra curricular activities. Since the inception of the whole-grade sharing, this excellence has not dwindled. The OA-BCIG schools have boasted numerous state qualifying teams and individuals. This success is not limited to athletic teams but also in many fine arts and other extra curricular programs.
Our school system strives to offer a variety of activities for our students, from athletics to drama, to FFA and quiz bowl. We currently offer well over 30 organizations and athletic teams for our students to be involved with.
It is our philosophy that students that are involved extra-curricular activities will have greater success in the classroom. We believe that this high participation rate positively enhances the student’s academic progress in comparison with the rest of the student body. This could be in part due to the intervention and guidance provided daily by our qualified coaches. We have worked hard to improve our level of competition in all areas, and strive to provide as many opportunities for our students as possible.
