Registration Information 2017-2018

Monday, August 7 @ OA Elementary Media Center 12:00-6:00 pm **Please enter through the Main Door or South Doors and proceed to the Computer Lab at the east end of the school.
Wednesday, August 9 @ BCIG Elementary Media Center 12:00-6:00 pm
August 18 - ALL school registration forms for 2017-2018 need to be turned in.
You may register all children in one location, does not matter in which building they will attend.
**First stop at registration is the computer lab where you will update your student information online.  If you do not already have a log in and password, you will be given one at that time.  If you know your log in and password you may go to the school website and update your information prior to registration.

**If you are not able to attend either registration date, please feel free to stop into the OA-BCIG Central Office on the west side of the OA-BCIG High School building and see Wanda any time after August 1, 2017.

High School supply list - High School students do not have a supply list. General supply items you will need are: notebooks, pencils, pens, folders with pockets, and bookcovers. Your instructors will notify you if/when you need additional supplies.

OA & BCIG presCHOOL & KEY information

BCIG KEY students will begin school on Wednesday, August 23.  Their school day will be from 8:30-1:30.  BCIG Preschool students will begin school on Monday, August 28.  Preschool will have two sessions; AM will be 8:30-11:00am and the PM will be 1:00-3:30pm.  Special education preschool students will attend from 8:30-1:30. OA Preschool students will begin school on Monday, August 28.


The State of Iowa requires all students to have a current immunization record on file for each student. Recently, in 2009 and again in 2013 the state made changes to the immunizations requirements so it is important to note that certain vaccines many now be required for your child.  
Preschool Requirements:
4 doses Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis
3 doses Polio
3 doses Hib with the final dose in the series > 12 months of age  or 1 dose received > 15 months of age.
1 dose Measles/Rubella > 12 months of age. ( MMR)
1 dose Varicella > 12 months of age or  history of natural disease.(Chicken Pox)
4 doses Pneumococcal; with one dose > 12 months of age
Kindergarten Requirements:
Dental Screening
5 doses Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis with 1 dose received > 4 years of age 
4 doses Polio with 1 dose received > 4 years of age.
2 doses Measles/Rubella; the first dose at 12-18 months of age, second dose prior to Kindergarten
3 doses Hepatitis B if born on or after July 1, 1994.
2 doses Varicella;  the first dose at 12-18 months, second dose prior to Kindergarten unless the applicant has a reliable history of natural disease.
7th grade Requirement *NEW* in 2013: 
1 booster dose of Tdap (tetanus, and pertussis).  
1 booster dose of Meningococcal Vaccine
All students entering into 7th grade will be required to have these doses to have a current and compliant immunization record here at school. 
9th grade
Dental screening 
12th grade
1 booster dose of Meningococcal Vaccine
As a reminder if your student is entering Kindergarten or 9th grade please remember to turn in the dental screening form. This form is available at the school, your dental provider, or it can be found at http://www.idph.state.ia.us/ohds/OralHealth.aspx?prog=OHC&pg=Screenings
