Registration Information 2016-2017

Monday, August 1 @ OABCIG High School 12:00-6:00 pm ** Please enter through the Front (Main) doors of the High School for registration and follow the signs from there. 
Monday, August 8 @ OA Elementary Media Center 12:00-6:00 pm
August 15 - ALL school registration forms for 2016-2017 need to be turned in.
If you are not able to attend either registration date, please feel free to stop into the OA-BCIG Central Office on the west side of the OA-BCIG High School building and see Wanda any time after August 1, 2016.

High School supply list - High School students do not have a supply list. General supply items you will need are: notebooks, pencils, pens, folders with pockets, and bookcovers. Your instructors will notify you if/when you need additional supplies.

6th Grade Orientation- Tuesday, August 23 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
BCIG Elementary- Monday, August 22 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
OABCIG High School- Monday, August 22 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Freshman Academy- Tuesday, August 23 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
OA Elementary & OABCIG Middle School- Monday, August 22 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
First Day of School- Wednesday, August 24

OA & BCIG presCHOOL & KEY information

BCIG KEY students will begin school on Wednesday, August 24.  Their school day will be from 8:30-1:30.  BCIG Preschool students will begin school on Monday, August 29.  Their school day will be from 8:30-12:30.  Special education preschool students will attend from 8:30-1:30. OA Preschool students will begin school on Monday, August 29.
 

Immunizations  

The State of Iowa requires all students to have a current immunization record on file for each student. Recently, in 2009 and again in 2013 the state made changes to the immunizations requirements so it is important to note that certain vaccines many now be required for your child.  
Preschool Requirements:
4 doses Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis
3 doses Polio
3 doses Hib with the final dose in the series > 12 months of age  or 1 dose received > 15 months of age.
1 dose Measles/Rubella > 12 months of age. ( MMR)
1 dose Varicella > 12 months of age or  history of natural disease.(Chicken Pox)
4 doses Pneumococcal; with one dose > 12 months of age
Kindergarten Requirements:
5 doses Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis with 1 dose received > 4 years of age 
4 doses Polio with 1 dose received > 4 years of age.
2 doses Measles/Rubella; the first dose at 12-18 months of age with the second dose prior to Kindergarten
3 doses Hepatitis B if born on or after July 1, 1994.
2 doses Varicella  the first dose at 12-18 months with the second dose prior to Kindergarten unless the applicant has a reliable history of natural disease.
7th grade Requirement *NEW* in 2013: 
1 booster dose of Tdap (tetanus, and pertussis).  All students entering into 7th grade will be required to have this dose to have a current and compliant immunization record here at school. 
 
As a reminder if your student is entering Kindergarten or 9th grade please remember to turn in the dental screening form. This form is available at the school, your dental provider, or it can be found at http://www.idph.state.ia.us/ohds/OralHealth.aspx?prog=OHC&pg=Screenings
