Good luck to our Falcon student wrestlers—compete strong!

Last week, the OABCIG High School Jazz Band performed in its first jazz festival of the year. Triton Jazz Festival was held in beautiful Decker Auditorium on the campus of Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. The festival featured nearly 60 Iowa high school jazz bands over 4 days. The band played very well and received excellent feedback and critique from the panel of adjudicators—photo credit to Paul DeCoursey of Iowa Central CC.

Due to the expected extreme cold there will be NO SCHOOL at OABCIG on Friday, January 23rd. Teachers will report to buildings by 10am.

On January 21st, Six members of the 𝐎𝐀𝐁𝐂𝐈𝐆 𝐅𝐅𝐀 chapter traveled to attend the 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦, gaining first hand insight into 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲.
During the symposium, members listened to a variety of guest speakers, including the Secretary of Agriculture and the Vice President of the Iowa Farm Bureau.
At the Capitol is where they met with Representatives Steven Holt and Wendy Larson.
