Our High School FCS students are mastering new skills one knot at a time! 🪢
As part of their textiles unit, students learned the basics of macrame from Shawna, who taught them knotting techniques to create a macrame keychain. We love seeing these hands-on skills come to life!

Our Comp FCS students took a fun break from their textile unit today to learn how to finger crochet with Monica! Students are building patience, fine motor skills, and a creative new hobby — one stitch at a time.

Today, our Health 1 class received hands-on CPR training from our District Nurse, Tiffany! Students practised proper breathing, chest compressions, AED use, and learned how to confidently respond in an emergency situation.

We're proud of these Falcons for gaining skills that could one day help save a life! 🫀

Congratulations to our three OABCIG High School instrumentalists on their selection to the Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band. Grace Schultz-clarinet, Emmaleigh List-clarinet, and Lily Lucht-baritone saxophone were selected by live audition to perform with the honor band on Saturday, January 9th, in Eppley Auditorium on the campus of Morningside University.

Huge congratulations to Briaunna Ackerman and Ella Boysen for representing OABCIG at the State Solo Qualifiers in Pella yesterday! Out of 70 dancers in Class V, both earned Division I ratings, and Ella placed in the Top 10—qualifying to perform her solo at State Dance in December for final Top 10 placement! Way to go ladies!
