OABCIG Staff members kicked off their beginning of the year in-service days with speaker Gerry Brooks. Opening the doors to surrounding school districts and community members, the audience left feeling motivated and inspired, while enjoying a good laugh.

Congratulations to OABCIG Falcon's Will Neville and Ways Raasch on winning the Third annual Bass Federationโs Student Angler Federation Iowa State Championship!
Held on Saturday, May 20 for the first time ever on the Okoboji Chain of Lakes, Ways and Will led the way of the 43, two-person teams, with a five-fish weight of 18.06 pounds. They also brought in the tournamentโs big fish with a 5.01-pounder.
They will be competing at the National Championships at LaCrosse, Wisconsin June 22-24
Last week on Wednesday, the OABCIG High School Treble Clef Choir got to meet with composer Katerina Gimon for a clinic and Q&A session on her composition โFireโ. She posed the question: What is your โfireโ? Treble clef members put on the board before IHSMA Large Group their โfire.โ
The โLas Vegas Nightโ Chance Raffle Table will open at 6pm on May 4th prior to the 6-12 Choir Concert and for 30 mins after. It will open again at 6pm on May 8th prior to the 6-12 Band Concert. Drawing for the chance raffle and beef/pork raffle will be held at the May 8th event. Winners not present will be contacted. Thank you for supporting the OABCIG Music Boosters!

Grand March will be held in the High School Auditorium on Saturday, April 22 from 4:30-6:00. Doors open at 4:00 PM.
