OABCIG will observe 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤, October 27-31, with the theme "𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞, 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞!" During this week, OABCIG students will learn the benefits of living a drug-free lifestyle through various activities, events, and dress-up days. 𝐎𝐀𝐁𝐂𝐈𝐆 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 (𝐈𝐝𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐭) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 dress-up days are as follows:
🟥 Monday, Oct 27 - wear red
🌺 Tuesday, Oct 28 - wear a Hawaiian shirt or lei
👨‍🏫👩‍🏫🔄👦👧Wednesday, Oct 29 - teachers dress like students - students dress like teachers
💡Thursday, Oct 30 - wear tie-dye, neon, or bright colors
💜 𓅂🖤Friday, Oct 31 - wear Falcon gear

OABCIG Community School District will have two 2:30 pm dismissals this week on 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 20 and 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 23 for Parent Teacher Conferences and No School on 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 24.

On October 1, some of the Middle School Choir members traveled to Cherokee to attend a Men's Choir Festival. The students who attended this awesome event were Ben Burgus, Ian Weber, Isaiah Witt, Kirkland Harman, and Jacon Todd. It was a great day of learning and singing. OABCIG 6th Graders enjoyed a "Fund Your Future" skit put on by The National Theatre for Children, where students learned the difference between needs and wants in relation to money. They were introduced to the details of credit card usage and its long-term impact, and the basics of investing. Students also learned about saving for large purchases and creating a budget.
