It’s time for Hike Bike! Packets have been given to all the elementary and middle school students and are available at the high school for students to pick up. Deadline to turn them in to the school or United Bank of Iowa is March 20. Don’t miss out! Participate in this fundraiser to help raise money for scholarships.

Hike Bike is sponsored by OABCIG Dollars for Scholars and United Bank of Iowa. All proceeds help fund scholarships for OABCIG students.

Just a reminder to our OABCIG families of the different dismissal times this week, and there will be no school on Friday, March 20.

⏰ Early Dismissal:
Students will be dismissed at 2:30 PM on both March 17 and March 19.

Not every child gets to buy a book at the book fair. If you would like to support our 𝐎𝐀𝐁𝐂𝐈𝐆 (𝐎𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐭 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲) 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 through a monetary donation, please 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐐𝐑 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞. You can use your debit or credit card to add money to our “𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫” program, helping ensure more students have the opportunity to take home a book.

The 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 is officially set up in the 𝐎𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐭 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 and ready for the excitement to begin! Students will have the opportunity to explore a wide selection of books and discover new favorites.

The book fair will run March 16–19, giving students several days to browse and shop.

Would you like to shop the Scholastic Book Fair but can't stop in? 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐐𝐑 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. It's also a great way for family members from afar to support our students and our library collections!

There will be no school this Friday, March 13th for students as teachers will be preparing for conferences.

Congratulations to the 𝐎𝐀𝐁𝐂𝐈𝐆 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝 and their director, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, on taking first place at the 𝐍𝐖𝐈𝐁𝐀 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 on Monday, the 16th. The festival is held in Le Mars, Iowa, and hosts over 50 competing bands from the northwest--middle school through high school. This comes after their first-place finish at the 𝐌𝐎𝐂-𝐅𝐕 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 on the 10th. The band will be performing their songs for the 𝐌𝐒 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 in Odebolt on March 5th and will be performing at the OABCIG Music Boosters annual fundraiser, 𝐋𝐚𝐬 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, in Ida Grove on March 12th.
