Terry Gerdes, Barry Bergman, Marvin Roose, and Keith Mentzer talked to the students about what life was like for soldiers in the Civil War, and then let them experience a replica cannon being shot off outside. To top it all off, KCAU came to feature us on the news too!

OABCIG Middle School Concert this Thursday at 7 PM in the Middle School Gym

The high school baseball field got a renovation yesterday! We now have a fence for the safety of the dugout instead of the block walls, which will give players more room and better airflow! More work to come to prepare for the new season!!

All OABCIG Fifth Grade students on Monday, February 26th, will be learning about the civil war. During the presentation, the students will have an opportunity to see an old civil war cannon being fired around 1:30 PM in Ida Grove. If you hear an explosion it is just the cannon not anything else going on. We just want to keep everyone informed about this event today.

On Wednesday, February 21, Middle School TAG students learned more about Ukraine and the way they decorate Easter Eggs called “pysanky.” Maryna, who recently left her home country of Ukraine to settle in Iowa, gave an excellent overview of the country’s customs and beauty.
