Book Fair profits allowed each elementary library to purchase the ©2026 Inside the NFL Philadelphia Eagles book. Cooper DeJean's picture, his pick 6 and his Super Bowl birthday are all included in the book. This book will circulate through the classrooms before being checked out to students to take home. Last week, the OABCIG High School Jazz Band performed in its first jazz festival of the year. Triton Jazz Festival was held in beautiful Decker Auditorium on the campus of Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. The festival featured nearly 60 Iowa high school jazz bands over 4 days. The band played very well and received excellent feedback and critique from the panel of adjudicators—photo credit to Paul DeCoursey of Iowa Central CC.
The Herb Irgens Wrestling Tournament will proceed as scheduled. Friday, 4:30 PM with doors opening at 3:15. Saturday, 9:30 AM with doors opening at 8:15.
Due to the expected extreme cold there will be NO SCHOOL at OABCIG on Friday, January 23rd. Teachers will report to buildings by 10am.
