Mr. Alexander spoke today to the students in the Personal Finance class about Bonds as a part of our investment unit. He explained how the school bond issue works and how the process helped us to receive the funds needed to make the much needed building improvements within our school district.

Sheriff Wade Harriman spoke to OABCIG Ida Grove Elementary students and encourage them to “Celebrate Life: live drug-free” during Red Ribbon Week. He gave out water bottles and bracelets to remind students to make healthy choices every day.

In honor of Red Ribbon Week, the OABCIG Elementary & Middle School in Odebolt had three special visitors. Ida County Sheriff Wade Harriman, Deputy Jared Clausen, and his partner Blitz gave the students and staff a fascinating demonstration of the K9 Unit. K9 Blitz is a 7 year old German Shepherd imported from the Czech Republic. He is trained in obedience, agility, article search, suspect search, and criminal apprehension. The communities are lucky to have this service for our safety!
