Danika Hinkeldey has been coming to the 4th grade classes in Ida Grove for once a month during the year. She is coming to help us learn about agriculture. This lesson focused on dairy. Danika had stations around the room for students to milk a cow, learn about different dairy cattle, and make butter. Thank you, Danika, for sharing your knowledge and helping us understand the importance of agriculture!

The Ida Grove Elementary 4th grade had Danielle Bennett come show them knot tying skills. The students then had to use trees to raise their food bags to hide them from animals to go along with our study of the book Hatchet.

Kelsie Nettles, Edward Jones Financial Advisor, visited the 4th graders in the Ida Grove Building on Thursday, Feb. 1. The social studies classes were talking about financial literacy. She discussed what she does in her job and how she helps clients with money questions and concerns. Kelsie also did an activity with students on the difference between needs and wants. OABCIG Elementary Ida Grove PTP,
We are kicking off our 2024 Fundraiser Campaign for the PTP group. This year, we kept it simple again and are not selling anything. We are simply asking for a donation to support our PTP group. This fundraiser was very successful for our PTP group last year all thanks to your generous donations and support of our group, our school, our students, our teachers and staff. Your student will bring home a flyer from school with more information about how you can donate to our fundraiser, or you can check out the attached flyer. We hope that you will consider supporting our mission! If you would like to volunteer to help and be more involved with our PTP group or for any questions, feel free to send an email.
Gratefully,
Lyndsay Lindberg & Heather Bogue
