Middle School Volleyball vs East Sac County today in Odebolt

Odebolt Elementary wrapped up 🔥𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤🧯 with its yearly trip to the 𝐎𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. There, they meet their community's volunteer firemen🧑‍🚒 who teach them the importance of fire safety. And of course, give them a ride back to school in the firetrucks. Lights and sirens included! 🚒

On October 1, some of the Middle School Choir members traveled to Cherokee to attend a Men's Choir Festival. The students who attended this awesome event were Ben Burgus, Ian Weber, Isaiah Witt, Kirkland Harman, and Jacon Todd. It was a great day of learning and singing. 👷🏻‍♀️🔨Building Futures!👷🏻‍♂️🏗️ HS TAG & Industrial Tech students teamed up to take part in the "Build My Future" Construction & Career Expo in Sioux City! Students explored hands-on activities, connected with industry professionals, and discovered exciting opportunities in construction and skilled trades. This event gave them a chance to imagine their future careers--and maybe even try out the tools they'll use one day!🦺

OABCIG 6th Graders enjoyed a "Fund Your Future" skit put on by The National Theatre for Children, where students learned the difference between needs and wants in relation to money. They were introduced to the details of credit card usage and its long-term impact, and the basics of investing. Students also learned about saving for large purchases and creating a budget.

OABCIG Community School District will have a 1:00 PM dismissal on Wednesday, October 8, for staff to participate in Professional Development.
