The OABCIG Nutrition Department would like to welcome all students back to school with a FREE breakfast on Friday, August 29th.

Breakfast is available for purchase each morning of school from 7:45 until school starts. Regular access to a healthy school breakfast is one of the best ways to support students' ability to learn and overall well-being.

OABCIG Community School District has an immediate opening for kitchen staff in the Odebolt building.

New High School band director Mr. Kovarna, treated band members with an ice cream social on Wednesday. Ice Cream was donated by The Farmacy 🍦

Cross Country Clothing Orders are now available. Deadline is Thursday August 28th at 12pm.

OABCIG is seeking to fill a paraeducator position in the Odebolt building by August 25th. Interested persons should contact Doug Mogensen at 712-364-2255 or dmogensen@oabcig.org.

Freshman Parents:
The school year is rapidly approaching. The purpose of this letter is to officially invite all freshmen to our 9th Annual Freshman Academy, which will take place on Thursday, August 21st from 2:45 to 4:00.

Students will have the opportunity to walk through a mock schedule and learn about daily life at the high school. We hope to see all freshmen attend. Parents are not expected to attend.

Transportation will be provided as follows:
Odebolt - bus will depart the east side of the MS at 2: 15
Arthur - bus will pick up students at the UBI corner at 2:25
Battle Creek- bus will depart from the Alumni Park at 2:25

Upon completion of the academy students who are not involved in Fall Athletics will be transported back to their communities. Those students who are in Cross Country, Football or Volleyball will stay and attend practice. Those students in athletics will not be bussed back. If you have questions, please contact the high school at 364-3371.

Running Club will meet at 7:30am this week due to the extreme heat. Running Club will meet at the High School track on Thursday.

Last week, Zachariah Johnson and Coach Wood traveled to Mt. Vernon and attended the Cornell College Cross Country Camp over a four-day period. Runners came from several states to train with Cornell athletes and learn how to improve as a runner and competitor for the upcoming XC season. Campers competed in a 2 mile time trial at the end of the camp. Mike Jay, the voice for state XC and track, surprised everyone on the final day to discuss using your passion for running as a motivator.

Tonight's district baseball action will be audio broadcasted on Fuller/Hudl. Remember 4:00 game time. Go Falcons!
