OABCIG Community School District will dismiss at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 25, for staff to participate in professional development.
OABCIG Schools will have a two-hour late start on Tuesday, January 21st. There will be no morning Preschool and no before school activities.

The first grade classes in Ida Grove and Odebolt are learning about Creature Features in our reading curriculum, Wit and Wisdom. To help broaden our learning, Ben from the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines came on Thursday to share more information about animal adaptations. Students were able to see a tortoise and a leopard gecko and even got to touch the fur from other animals that are available to see at the zoo. Thank you to Edward Jones in Ida Grove and the United Bank of Iowa in Odebolt for helping sponsor this fun learning opportunity for the students!

On Tuesday, students in Mrs. Wittrock's class learned about telescopes to tie in with their literature lessons about Galileo and his observation of the stars. Each student then made a simple telescope to take home.

The Ida Grove Elementary has started High Five Friday with the High School students. In December the National Honor Society students are greeting our student as they enter the building in the morning. The students are loving it! Go Falcons!
